About Sharyn Russell

Sharyn W. Russell is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), with more than 30 years' experience dedicated to the health and care of elder clients. She has been a Professional Geriatric Care Manager since 1996.

Since receiving her M.S.W. from Simmons College School of Social Work, Sharyn has had broad work experience with elders; this includes being the Assistant Director of Senior Services in a community mental health center, a therapist in nursing homes, the Coordinator of Elder Services at a family service agency, and a nursing home consultant.

She has served as President, Immediate Past President (2005-2007),. Vice President (2001-2003) and Secretary (97-00) of the New England Chapter of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (GCM-NE).

Sharyn is a Certified Advanced Social Work Case Manager (C-ASWCM). In addition, she is a Member of the National Association of Social Workers, and is a Qualified Clinical Social Worker through the NASW Register. She is a Member of the Merrimack Valley Health Care Social Workers, and is on the Board of a non-profit elder housing program.
